INTERNATIONAL TAX MANAGER

LOCATION: Atlanta, Georgia
SALARY: $80K - $120K, D.O.E.

We are currently searching for an experienced Senior Tax Manager for our Esteemed Client’s International Tax office in Atlanta, Georgia. This is an opening which would provide an applicant with an opportunity to become a member of one of the Nation's leading and largest Chartered Accountant Firms. The Firm provides services to a wide range of prominent Clients, including businesses, non-profit organizations, agricultural and individuals - nationally and internationally.


A minimum of five (5) years of related experience (preferably from a Big 4 Firm) is necessary as is a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from a known University. Previous supervisory experience is required. Applicants must have strong computer skills in all tax compliance software, in particular with GoFileRoom, GoSysterRS, Caseware, MS Office Suite, BNA to name a few. MST/MBT may be required.

JOB PURPOSE:

Conserving corporate capital by researching and recommending tax strategies, positions, returns, and payments; reviewing and preparing returns.

DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

* Develops tax strategies, plans, and solutions by understanding corporate business model, strategic and foreign goals, and requirements; researching and tracking economic, political, and legislative trends affecting, and potentially affecting, business; identifying and researching taxation issues.

* Recommends international tax policies and solutions to management by projecting tax exposures; evaluating and presenting tax action options; recommending structure of overseas entities; providing information regarding Transfer Pricing, Value-Added Taxes (VAT), Customs, etc.

* Prepares tax documents by preparing workpapers, positions, schedules, returns, and IRS filings, including those for subsidiaries; reviewing payroll, sales and use, property, and income taxes.

* Maximizes after-tax profits by minimizing foreign tax liabilities; developing and implementing procedures, guidelines, systems, documentation, and reporting to foreign authorities; conducting and obtaining audits.

* Maintains financial records by revaluing and restating foreign currency; reviewing, reconciling, and correcting balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and bank reconcilitations for foreign entities.

* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

* Updates job knowledge by tracking and analyzing new national and foreign legislation; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

* Contributes to international tax team results by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed.
